Where's My Computer?

I am just doing some laundry and working on getting my ass in gear to go out of town. I move slower than the Second Coming of Christ. Organization and Motivation are not my modus operandi. (Okay I stole these words from Weetabix , I admit I am not edumacated enough for latin.)

While I was waiting for my laundry I decided to check and see who had updated in my favourites list. I came across Strangerlucy's entry about her computer room. At the end of the entry she asked a question aloud, "Where's your Computer?" Since this seemed like an easy enough question I thought I would answer it. Seeing as I have the time.

My Computer is located in my living room. Now, I live in a One Bedroom Condo which is a fair sized place but finding a place for my computer has always been a daunting task. Previous to it's current location it was located pretty much in the center of my living room along one wall where my TV is now located. The reason being is I don't actually have cable TV but I have cable internet. So, originally, I put the computer next to the cable outlet and since I've always used the internet more than I watched TV anyway this seemed completely logical to me. Veronica had completely different ideas to where my computer should be.

The Computer is now located in the corner of my living room area, near the stairs. First I set it up so it was in the corner. But I was once again overruled by my friends and spun it around so that it's kind of boxed into it's only area by the computer facing out towards the living room so that your back is to the wall. This was so I could set my speakers up against the wall. Haven't ever done it. (See comment above about motivation.)

I practically live around my computer when I'm here, if you were to visit my humble abode, this would be quite evident. Actually, it's about as subtle as a brick to the head. (Sorry, that's my own private joke. I've mentioned it before so I'll have to find the entry and link it.) Currrently, my computer is surrounded in crap. There's nothing on the walls around me. My favourite baseall cap (Molson Canadian) is sitting top center of my monitor. There's enough take out/fast food shrapnel around here to make one think I have shares in all these companies.

This place is a nice little spot though. The way it's set up kind of gives it it's own area. It's own area in that Les Nesman tape on the floor kind of way but we all have to have goals don't we?

Back to the Shrapnel. I do clean up around here occasionally. Just it amasses so quickly. Quickly in that I'm a Procrastinator and I work a lot kind of way. I'm most often eating at my computer in the wee hours of the morning after I get off work. So I tend to eat and head off to bed. Which is why it amasses on me. These are all excuses, I realize it.

So, Where my computer is isn't quite as meaningful as Strangerlucy's but I thought it was interesting none the less and perhaps I've given Strangerlucy, and anyone you other people who read my drivel, a peek into the world that is Bingoguy.

I had Tina stop by the other day and she looked around and thought my place looked like the typical house of someone who suffers from depression. Well at least I act like I'm supposed to. LOL.
