2006-01-07 - 5:42 p.m. LOST and Found What kind of sick person buys a DVD player in order to watch TV shows? Answer : Bingoguy! I wandered into the local Mal-Wart because I had heard about the incredibly cheap boxing day price of $25 for a DVD player. It was true. I should have picked up TWO. Damn, That's cheap. Anyway, I also picked up the First Season of LOST on DVD. This is because I've been downloading the Second Season off the Newsgroups. Now, I've quite fondly told others that I really couldn't give a crap about most television but it is nice to see the reversion to old style "Serial" television where they leave you in the lurch each and every espisode giving you a reason to tune in next week to find out WHAT IN THE HELL happened. I hope it doesn't jump the shark too soon. I think a good 5 or 6 seasons of this could be entertaining. Hopefully they are in rush to answer the big questions and reveal the small stuff at a nice pace. The fact ALL The characters are basically fucked up is also awesome and I hope they have a reason that only the fucked up ones survived. Hey and they've still got about 40+ other non-speaking character they can kill off at random. I like the fact they made a reference to Star Trek and the "Red Shirt" security guards that bit it all the time. I'm really boring people who aren't into this show. Anyway, I finally have a DVD player. I just got a call from work telling me I could come in late. It's really screwing me up because I feel like I should be sitting here and I keep glancing at the clock. The bonus of being a salaried employee I guess.
