The Season Of Giving

Well, I was supposed to go DJ an Xmas party tonight. I ended up phoning the other DJ guy and asking him if he wanted it cause he had said he needed the money. Now, It's not that I don't need the money but I probably don't "need" it as much as he does. I had booked off Saturday night because I also had a Xmas gig to do but it got cancelled. I was talking to the guy I gave the shift away to and he gladly gave it back to me (cause he had already mentioned to me he was only doing it as a favour to me cause he knew I prefered to do DJ gigs when they came up). Anyway, Christmas is the season of giving eh? I guess that's also my Christmas DJ season. I did a whopping two parties this year. I've got a New Years Gig Booked so that'll be it for my DJ career. It sure is going out on a slow note.

The nice thing was I really was also tired. I was able to put on some comfy clothes for lounging around my house and I went and laid on the couch and passed out. I just woke up now. Which is nice cause now I'm in night shift mode.

Another thing I noticed is I have 4 days off at Xmas (22nd-25th). Which allow me to travel out of town to my parents place. The only downside is I have to be back for work the morning of Boxing Day. (That's a Stat Holiday here in Canada on the 26th. American's have Black Friday we have Boxing Day.) Oh well, I'll get paid well to call bingo for the people that have been deprived for two days while we closed for Xmas.
