Domesticated

If you were to talk to someone that knew me just a few years ago and told them that I would move in with a girl more lazy than me that would end up driving me to do household domestic duties (ie. put the garbage out, clean the kitchen, laundry) they would probably tell you that you were nuts.

I can pretty much out wait anyone. I'm THAT much of a procrastinator.

I must admit defeat though. The Chick is better than I am. She destroyed my laundry on a couple of occasions and I've watched her do laundry and it scares me. So I relieved her of the duty.

Her and her former roommate had this problem with taking out the garbage. Man, The Garage was DISGUSTING. Myself and the Absent Roommate cleaned that up and I vowed to the Absent Roommate that I would never let that happen while I was living there. This coming from the guy who used to let the take out containers lay around til the just got in the way and then grabbed a big garbage bag and threw it all away. (Mildly amusing, having a huge bag of garbage that weighs less than a pound or two.)

I also get driven nuts by the dirty dishes that pile up around me. INSANE, I tell you. I guess it's been THAT long since I had roommates that I actually interacted with on a regular basis. (Really, you have to go back to around 1990 when I roomed with my best friend and one of his friends.) Which was the time when I decided I really did perfer to live alone. Alas, times change.

I mentioned it to The Chick and she got all defensive. I was just hoping she'd pick up the slack a bit for me in the other areas. Partnership y'know. Maybe I've got my eye too much on what I am doing and don't actually notice she is doing stuff too. Maybe it's just I'm doing more domestic chores on a regular basis than I have for such a very long time it just SEEMS like I'm doing everything.

To top it off, I still can't seem to get ahead financially. That's frustrating and is probably the root of the concerns in other areas purely due to the frustation.

This is what this is here for me to vent. So, done.
