4pm and Dinner with Veronica

I awoke prompty at 4pm today. LOL. I gotta stop staying up until 4am. I alway sleep way into the afternoon. Then I feel like I don't have a day off. Don't get me wrong though, I love unconciousness to a great deal. If naps were a Olympic Gold Medal Event I'd be the world record holder.

Well, I managed to pay my rent today. Funny, the real estate agent was just trying to figure out if I had paid my rent or not. Probably cause I am not usually late. I paid them in cash. Which I used to do a lot when I first moved here but haven't for quite a long time. I started talking about a few places in here and the different sizes of the places. My one bedroom apt is pretty close to 1000 sq feet. That's, my friends, is HUGE for an apartment. I have more room than I need but the rent is AMAZING. I'm staying here as long as is possible. Slightly noisy neighbours and all. I'm in a good part of town. The downside is I have to drive 20 minutes minimum to get to work. It's basically the otherside of town. Oh well. I'm babbling.

Veronica came over tonight. We had planned last week that we should start having weekly dinners together. That they would be cheaper for both of us that way. We'd also start cooking more often. (At least I will, I don't know about her.) We'd also be eating half way healthy too. What did we have you say? Steak, Baked Potato and Salad. I'm almost like a senior citizen already. I went the grocery store and practically bought it all tonight. I keep nothing around here 95% of the time. The bill was about $20. Now, I could have probably ate for $5 at McD's tonight. But the company was nice and really Steak was splurging one doesn't do that every night. Actually, My steak was huge. I made a note next time I won't buy that big of a steak next time. I bought too big a container of sour cream. But I think that solved Veronica's dilemma of what to have at her place next week. Perogie's it is. That's works fine with me. I now have TWO weeks to think about what we'll have the week after that.

After dinner we played Crib. She actually skunked me once. Then she beat me decidedly the next game. I won the first two games. I just didn't get the cards. Crib's a good game. I have way too many boards here. I think I have 6 or so Crib boards. Somehow my direct family thinks I should collect them. LOL.

All in All, it was a very nice evening with Veronica. It reminds me why I like her so much. One day, it would be cool if we could work out the past. She's definitely someone I could spend a lot of time with. My only reservation is she can get anti-social in a real hurry. Not wanting to go out. This is one thing I've always tried to force myself to do is be social. Go out and do things where other people are involved. I know she tries some. She spends a lot of time going places and doing stuff with her friend April. So, there's hope.
