Road Trip

I'm currently on day two of my vacation from work. It's actually day three if you count the day I took off work to take The Kid on his hockey team's road trip.

The Kid's roadtrip was pretty good all said. It was his first time playing a game on a full sheet of ice. So, There was a lot of skating for his little legs. I thought he did a really good job. He's not a superstar in the making but he tries and he made an awesome pass at one point to one of his teammates in the slot. Unfortunately, they didn't score on the play but the pass was still great.

I'm not quite climatized to the whole sitting in the stands bit. The rinks seem somewhat colder than they used to when I was an active player in organized hockey leagues. Then again, that's probably cause I was skating around on the ice keeping warm.

On the drive back from the game the weather was terrible. The roads were wet and it was very dark. Headlights in this situation really don't help much since the road just reflects it. It also doesn't help much when the idiots going in the opposite direction have their high beams on. We took The Chick's Car and realized that she needs new tires this when taking a routine corner (wasn't speeding either) and the car slid a bit. Yep. Gotta save some cash for two new tires on the front and then after I do that I'll beginning saving for two new tires on the back.

Which reminds me I need to phone the car dealership where I bought my car and put it in for service. It's due and to top that off my check engine light came on Friday. So, she definitely needs to go in. Yes, my car is female.

Got an email from the DJ company I work with and it looks like I have a gig this weekend. Which, of course, makes sense since I'm currently on holidays from my bingo job. This happens everytime. I need the money so I'll do it.

One final note, I was a bit ahgast going through my stats to find out some person via the German Google site had come here while searching for "Used Boxerbriefs". Those Kinky Europeans!
