Laundry Room

Do you feel the pressure?

I certianly feel the pressure. It's called I haven't much to write about.

I've been enjoying my day off trying to come up with something to write about. Yet, Nothing.

I'd blame it on my BLOG but really all I post is crap there so it's very different from here. I'm quite happy with it too because I can post all that crap that most people don't care for unless your in the mood for it.

I've really come to realize something since I moved and then The Chick move to her new digs. I really miss having access to my own washer and dryer.

I know this makes me sound just so extremely domesticated doesn't it, ladies? Don't let that fool ya.

Anyway, it was about 4 or 5 years ago that I decided to buy a washer and dryer for myself for my birthday. [Yes, I buy MYSELF present on my own birthday, shutup.] It was by far one of the best gifts I've ever bought for myself.

The Key is really the flexiblity. You can do laundry practically any time of day. If you live in an apartment/condo there's no waiting around for other tenants to finish using the machines. There's the fact you KNOW if someone has put bleach in your washer the load before and not finding out AFTER your clothes have been ruined. Another good point is load size. You can wash one item you can wash a full load it really doesn't matter when it's your own machine.

But the greatest of all bonuses, of which I now sorely miss, is proximity. See I live on the top floor of an apartment building now. The laundry room is on the first floor and it's to one side of the building, which isn't the side I'm on. Which makes doing laundry a real pain in the ass.

Now, if I didn't really give a crap about myself or the people around me I'd probably wear stinky dirty clothes because that would easier than having trapse over hells half acre. Unfortunately, I have to worry about such things so doing laundry is listed as important on my priority list. Right up there with downloading porn and napping.

When you're at the mercy of using the buildings laundry facilities you have to deal with whatever types of machines they offer. Those would fall in the catagory of SMALL. My washer and dryer have to be at least twice the size of these fuckers. You know what that translates to don't you? I have TWICE as many loads of laundry to get it done. Which means twice as many trips from the top floor to the first floor. I don't know what you would do but I don't hang out in the laundry room and read or anything. I go back to my apartement so I can continue downloading porn or better yet nap. This means there's a trip to take a load down. Then return while it washes. Bring Load #2 with you on your way down to move load #1 to dryer. (Yes, I am THAT efficient doesn't that SCARE you?) and then back up and down.

At this rate, who needs to participate in any excersize clubs, Hell, I got the Stair Master built right into my apartment building and I didn't even realize it when I moved in.

Anyway, You can really tell there's nothing going on in my life when my biggest concern in life is the fact my apartment isn't closer to the laundry room.
