2002-01-08 - 1:45 a.m. Jackpots, Gambling et all. In an attempt to be consistant. Here is anothere thrilling entry. Although, I've very little to say. Why? A] I'm in a bad habit of staying up all night and then sleeping all day and then getting up and going to work. This describes the basics of the last two days. (My two night shifts if you're playing the home game.) B} When one does A, there's very little to write about unless you want me to point out that tonight I gave away TWO of the four Big Jackpots that we offer at our bingo hall. I also gave them away in the same session. That's not very common. One Jackpot was $19,155 and the other was $4,343. Not a bad haul either one. Although IF I had to choose I'd pick the $19 Grand. Call me picky. The other jackpot of note is over $26 Grand but much more difficult to win. So it'll be safe except for there is some 97 year old grandmother with Longacres (That's a Horse Track in Washington State I went to as a kid and I like the name!) up her ass. Which brings me to the thought, have you ever noticed Lottery winners? They're always so ancient you wonder what the hell they are going to do with their millions of dollars in winnings before they drop dead next week or tomorrow for all we know. I swear to god if you aren't just about to drop dead from a coronary or just expire from being on the planet WAY too long, you are NOT allowed to win a Lottery Jackpot of any great amount. On a side note, I won $50 on one of the various 6/49 type draws we have here in Canada. You'd think since I work in the gaming industry I'd be the last person to gamble. I quite enjoy gambling actually. I find it an entertainment. I think this is because that's exactly how my parents treat it. You never play any lottery with any real hopes of winning purely amusement. My parents are the type of senior citizen (god, I love calling them that.) that take a plane to Nevada every year for their birthdays just so they can get away and go gamble. They don't take a lot of money. My mother likes to play nickle slots. So, we're not talking about huge wins here. My mom is happy if she wins like $200 on a nickle slot machine. My Dad, on the other hand, he plays slots but he's more a table player. (As I am). His game is Baccarat. I've never actually played this game but my dad likes it because you're allowed to touch the cards. You get your turn as the dealer and you deal the cards out to the other players. I don't know how this game works but my dad does fairly well at this game. Now, don't get confused, there is a game out there called Mini-Baccarat. It's not the same game. It's played similar but you aren't allowed to touch the cards. My dad also thinks its more difficult to win Mini than it is proper Baccarat. One day I should investigate. I just wish they get CRAPS in Canada. Better yet even. MY part of Canada. I just want to roll dice. Yeehaw.
