Friend's Roomies

If you'd like a fluff entry try the one I wrote a couple hours ago it's found Here.

Otherwise, Here we go with something else.

Have I mentioned I've been training a guy at work to do my job? Not replace me full time, of course, but to fill for me (and the other callers) when we take time off.

He sounds good. His knowledge/comprehension of the equipment leaves something to be desired. He's not what I would call a fast learner. I find he doesn't know what he's looking at or doesn't read. It's the "Attention to detail" he seems to be lacking. I've spent a month training him (over a couple of months since they hired him).

In his defense before being hired he'd never played bingo before. So becoming a Caller isn't exactly easy. I figure he can get himself through our daytime schedules ok. The nighttime is another story.

What one has to understand is that our Night Time Programs start with our "Money" Session. This means when we make all our money and our at our busiest in terms of people. It's also when we are expected to put our feet forward smoothly. The crowds get easily frustrated (and vocal) when things take too long. [I know, I know, I spoil them with my perfection. AHAHAAHA.]

Anyway, I'm not entirely convinced that he can do the job but on the other hand I'm tired of having him call when I'm supposed to be calling. You'd think I'd be enjoying coming to work and being paid to sit on my ass but I'm one of those people that actually enjoys doing the job they are paid to do and having to do other stuff to fill the time just sucks. I spend the time helping the floor runners and I hate their job. HATE IT.

My back's been killing me lately too. I am pretty sure it tightened right up after I started helping the runners clean up after the sessions. The constant lifting of garbage cans and dumping them irked my back. Oh well, That's what pain killers are for.

Now to completely change the subject [And I know your glad so don't even TRY to tell me otherwise.] I was reading Ladee Leroy.

Now I know some of you already know the wholesome goodness that is LadeeLeroy the rest of you are depriving yourself. But she can be funny on occasion. And she's one of the people who you can find quoted on 12% Beer. [Ya, Ya, Shameless plug]

She was talking about friend's roomies in the entry I pointed you to. [Cause I know some of you slackers didn't go there and read it.] It made me think of all of my friend's roommates in the past and how you do have to have some kind of interaction with these people.

There was my one friend's roomie Zoltan "The Scuba Diver Instructor From Club Med". This guy never shut up nor failed to mention the forementioned job he previously had before movin in with my friend.

There's The Chick's Roomie who hangs out in my chatroom picking up men like she's on some kind of 10 minute shopping spree.

My Best Friend Bart used to live with his older brother for awhile there before Bart got married. That was an experience phoning there. Cause Bart's brother would always strike up conversations with me if Bart wasn't home and not only did his brother make me nervous/uneasy but I also hate having long winded conversations on the phone.

I am sure I'm forgotting many here but then again that's the way it goes with me. The memory never has worked very well for me.

We're you expecting a story here? Nah, I'm not that good of a writer. Nothing particularly jumps out at me.

That's good anyway, cause this entry is probably far longer than you wanted it to be.
