Bruised

I didn't get out of work until 1am last night. That's because I needed to fix some programming on our portable hand held card players. (Yes, Bingo is VERY sophisticated now.) I corrected the problems and then had to reprogram each and every hand held unit that we current have. That really made me think twice about some of the program changes I'd like to make in the New Year. I'd like to totally revamp the games we play.

The General Manager actually let me go down and check out the progress so far on the renovations. We were actually supposed to be open already but we're not. Looking at the current state of the renos I'd say sometime in January at this point. About a month behind.

That's not really that shocking is it?

I heard that the cost went up by as much as 50%. Woohoo, They'd better be able to make a profit after this. But on the upside. It looks like it's shaping up to be a really nice set up. It should be a nice place to play.

Yes, Wendy, I have been feeling sorry for myself. I've been trying my best to suck it in and be tough but it's hard not to. Sometimes all I feel I'm good at doing is fucking things up. My ego and my self-confidence are a bit bruised at the moment.

My Current state of mind made the comment Weetabix made sting a little. I know it was a compliment to my unique nature. But sometimes the fact that people don't know how to take me (thus being off-putting) does disturb me. It's not unsual for me to step way over the line and offend people.

So it's now the 21st. Veronica never wrote back to tell me about the concert. Maybe she feels that would be throwing salt in a wound. I dunno.

I'm off after tonight. I'm not sure when I am heading out of town so if I don't update until after Xmas you'll know why.
