I Might Bore You

It's sad but true but I seem to update my BLOG more often than I do my diary. But more people read my diary than my blog (almost 2 to 1)

Giving me a grand total of 2 readers, one of whom reads my blog.

"They're Grrrr-eat" - Tony the Tiger.

Soon it will be election day for my neighbours to the south. Here in Canada we just had our election on monday and we elected a minority liberal governement. [Ed: Doesn't look like a minority government to me, still looks like a bunch of old WHITE guys. lol, ahem.]

American's will have trouble understanding the whole minority government. I suppose the closest comparison you could give to explain a minority government is when you have a republican president and a democratic senate or visa versa. It's not the same but basically it's harder to govern. Here's the point where Americans would go nuts because here in Canada should a minority party lose a vote in our house of commons (where our elected officals sit.) Then they have to call an election. So, Here in Canada we could be voting again real soon if the government doesn't concede some ideas with the other parties in order to pass legislation. (Yes, we have more than 2 parties!)

I was sort of disappointed that our country elected the same party that's been in power for the last 12 years. Of course, the viable alternatives really sucked, the result saw a lot of fringe voting. Which should (but rarely does) send a message to those in power that people are unhappy with the establishment and that trend is only growing. There was also low voter turn out.

The other reason I was disappointed in the party we elected is the guy running it comes off to me as "deceitful". He really looks like one of those people who might try to lie right to your face and be so full of his own bullshit that he doesn't realize he's busted. That's just the impression I get, I could be wrong but then again he's a former finance minister.

In the states, they attempted to impeech a President for getting a blowjob from an intern. Here in Canada, We have a government misuse our tax money and we re-elect them.

It's kind of like walking in on a thief who's emptying out half your house and inviting him back next week to get the rest.

I'm not overly political and have no idea why I wasted so much time on the subject.

Maybe next time I'll talk about something more interesting.
