My Two Day Four Day Weekend

If that didn't make any sense to you have no fear I will explain.

In some really cool scheduling at my work this week I was scheduled to have a 4 day weekend starting on Friday.

That was until my phone rang today (Saturday). It was my boss letting me know that because of staffing I'd have to come in on Sunday and Call.

Oh, How I was looking forward to these 4 days in a row. I was contemplating a quick trip out of town to see my parents. I kind of had an inkling in the back of my head that this little unusual 4 day weekend wasn't gonna happen. So, I just saved myself the whole pain of whining and just agreed to come into work.

The quirky part to me was the fact The Chick was AT my work playing when they called me. I was home getting ready to watch the hockey game on the tube. (damn nuckleheads lost). She just phoned a little while ago and let me know she was going to have coffee with Holly.

Did I ever mention Holly was pregnant? Yeah, Her and her boyfriend are having a baby. That'll be due in March sometime I believe. It's funny I used to have the biggest "crush" on Holly at one time. That really faded for me a long time ago and I never made note of it. Strange how we don't really note or notice things that sort of drift off into the night like "crushes".

Anyway, The Chick is having coffee with her. They really hit it off as friends when I introduced them. Women are strange beasts.

I've nothing really to say. It's a big reason why I haven't been updating. I'm really just in a holding pattern waiting for that which I haven't been able to talk about.

I was getting ready to write about it but there's been a bit of setback which was beyond my control. Now, I'm just having to ride that out. I'm not sure how long this setback will last. I'll have to see.
